HELP YOURSELF
Anchor Scripture: Jeremiah 6:16
“…And Walk Therein…”
In the quest to achieving success, the ‘Helping Yourself’ phase is very critical before you get your desired result.
Until you resolve within yourself to help yourself, you will never be able to harvest the goodies God had made ready for you. Because God will not do for you what you can do for yourself.
James 1:23-27.
"23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
How To Help Yourself
Be the Doer of what you have Learnt – James 1:23 .
See the Word of God as your Daily Mirror to put yourself on Check – James 1:23b.
Prayerfully fight against NEGLIGENCE – James 1:24.
Live the Word (live your life based on what the Bible teaches) – James 1:25.
Watch what you SAY – (too much and negative words destroy), or else you might not get your desired results – James1:26.
Righteousness: This gives you a Right Stand with God – James 1:27a.
Help Others – James 1:27b.
Note that each time you help other people, you are not helping them in the real sense, you are helping yourself and the generations to come after you.
Tip
If you want to lead people; raise people, when they are raised, they will need a guide and this is when your leading will be needed.
